Holography

Faced with complete freedom of choice on a topic for my high-school graduation paper, I challenged myself by setting out for an "invention" of my own. I pursued an idea of mine I had years earlier: to develop and produce an analog three-dimensional "movie" - the first holographic Animation.

Being a physics-geek, I dived into wave-theory and laser interferometry and started building a Holographic camera as well as a Projection device - both actually turned out to work. The Principle was proven and I was the proud Inventor of the "Holophenakististkop". The effect is indeed quite astonishing, since no glasses or the like are needed and the spectators can even change their viewing angle around the holographic image.

Although I was cluttered with awards and honours, I realized that the world of science that I had though to be my destiny left too little room for creativity for me to thrive in the long run. After a year of consideration this experience alongside the one made with my earlier "E-Form" project, led me to study Architecture - a decision I never regret.
